Derek Chisora Didn’t Hesitate When Asked If Anthony Joshua Should Go Straight Into Dubois Rematch

Daniel Dubois shocked the world when he stopped Anthony Joshua to retain his IBF heavyweight title.

Although the champion going into the contest, ‘DDD’ was a heavy underdog before the first bell rang. But the 27-year-old dominated the action from the get-go and landed an thunderous right hand with seconds remaining of the first round to send AJ to the canvas.

Anthony Joshua got back to his feet but never fully recovered and was knocked down a further two times before Dubois landed the final right hand in the fifth to close the show.

Attention now turns to what Joshua will do next with fans and pundits debating whether the former two-time champion should go straight into a rematch with his fellow Brit.

One man who is sure what AJ should do is veteran heavyweight Derek Chisora.

Chisora told ‘The Stomping Ground‘ that Joshua should jump straight into the rematch,

“Mate he should jump on the rematch straight away, why not?

Listen, shout out to Daniel Dubois the new champion and the new crowned king of the United Kingdom but he [AJ] should jump on it bro, what else is he going to do, who else is he going to fight? Deontay Wilder? And then another person, and then go back and face Daniel Dubois, no, he should go back to the rematch.

Although there doesn’t appear to be a contractual rematch clause, Joshua has one more fight on his Riyadh Season deal and both Turki Alalshikh and Dubois himself are keen to make it happen again.
