“I Got Him” Lennox Lewis Predicts Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua If They Fought Each Other Next

Heavyweight legend Lennox Lewis has had his say on a potential showdown between Oleksandr Usyk victims, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.

Both of these British stars are former two-time world champions, and both have lost twice to southpaw Usyk in back-to-back fights.

The Ukrainian initially dethroned Joshua back in 2021, then defended his unified titles a year later, both times winning on points.

After knocking out Daniel Dubois in August 2023, he then took on Fury for the undisputed crown in May last year, won on the scorecards and repeated the feat back in December with a unanimous decision win.

Many believed that left both Joshua and Fury with nowhere better to go than into a huge, legacy defining fight to end their careers with a contest many fans have long wanted to see.

However, Fury spoiled that in early January by announcing his retirement from the sport in a brief social media post.

Speaking on Froch on Fighting, former undisputed heavyweight ruler Lewis was asked who would come out on top were the two to fight now.

“Listen, both of them pack a punch, I would say Fury would be leading the way on that one, he’s leading the way. It’s up to Anthony Joshua to prove everybody wrong right now, it was [a devastating loss to Dubois]. I got Fury.”

Right now Fury remains retired, and Joshua has yet to return after being knocked out by Daniel Dubois inside five rounds back in September. He has been linked with opponents such as former sparring partner Agit Kabayel and also a rematch with Dubois, though nothing has been confirmed.
