‘It’d be crazy’ – Terence Crawford offers Gervonta Davis huge fight on Canelo Alvarez card
Terence Crawford is set to compete in the biggest fight of his stellar career, as he looks towards a mega-money clash with Alvarez at September in Las Vegas.
It promises to be a huge event between arguably the two biggest boxing superstars in the US, providing Alvarez beats William Scull on May 3.
But ‘Bud’ has his own plan to make the event even bigger with the inclusion of lightweight superstar Davis.
He has called for ‘Tank’ to take on Shakur Stevenson in a huge all-American tilt, but isn’t sure he will accept.
“It should be crazy [Davis vs Stevenson], on Crawford and Canelo. That would be dope,” he said in an interview with Manouk Akopyan.
“If Tank wasn’t so cocky not to be on a Terence Crawford undercard, that would be dope.

“But I don’t see Tank taking a backseat to no fighter because he would see it as the Tank show.
“So, I don’t know, but it should be a good undercard.”
Davis has yet to entertain any official talks over a clash with Stevenson.
He will also now be locked into fights for the foreseeable future, given he is expected to next rematch Lamont Roach in June.
‘Tank’ even held talks with Jake Paul over a clash, clearly prioritising the biggest events possible.
Crawford has been a vocal supporter of Stevenson and believes he is a superstar in the making.
“Tank knows what it is up,” he said. “He knows what he is up against if he is going to fight Shakur or Keyshawn.
“He wants to fight these guys that everybody in the world know aren’t going to give him a fight.
“They aren’t mentally there, they might have a little skill here and there but mentality-wise they are not going to be able to keep it up the whole fight.
Stevenson has been struggling with injuries to his hands, and is trying to fight once per year.
He has been training with Crawford, and was with him prior to his recent win over late replacement Josh Padley.
