“He Wins” Canelo Alvarez Delivers Honest Verdict On Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua Fight: “He Wins”

Saul ‘Canelo‘ Alvarez was recently asked for his view on what happens if Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua finally get it on in the ring.

The British stars are both two-time heavyweight world champions. They ruled for many years concurrently and were involved in plenty of epic battles with the likes of Deontay Wilder and Wladimir Klitschko but were never able to come together for a fight of their own before disaster struck and both were dethroned.

It was the same man, the undisputed cruiserweight turned undisputed heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk, who got the better of them. And he did so twice, over two fights against each man – a total of 48 enthralling rounds between 2021 and late last year.

The losses seemingly left Fury, who had never tasted defeat before, and Joshua with nowhere better to go than an epic and legacy-defining fight with each other, but Fury spoiled that by announcing his retirement at the end of January in a short social media post.

Speaking to Mail Sports Boxing, ‘Canelo’ was asked who he thought might come out on top if the two men were ever to finally come together.

“It’s gonna be a good fight. I don’t know, I think Fury has more experience, I think he wins.”

He was then asked who he wanted to win and went with Joshua.

Right now, the fight is only a fantasy contest as Fury remains retried, and Joshua continues to be linked with other options like Deontay Wilder and Daniel Dubois, as well as a left-field bout with Jake Paul.
