‘I would love to share the ring with her’ Lauren Price answers Claressa Shields’ ‘eat a hamburger’ call-out

Claressa Shields is currently women’s boxing’s undisputed heavyweight champion and Lauren Price is the unified WBC, WBA and IBF welterweight titlist; they might be far apart in weight now but both are middleweight Olympic gold medallists and want to meet in a major professional fight

Britain’s Lauren Price and American star Claressa Shields are far apart in weight currently, but both are eyeing a future super-fight.

Shields, previously an undisputed champion at super-welter and middleweight, is women’s boxing’s undisputed heavyweight champion.

Price at present is the unified WBC, WBA and IBF welterweight world champion with her sights set on an undisputed title clash with WBO belt-holder Mikaela Mayer.

But both Price and Shields are middleweight Olympic gold medallists, twice over in the American’s case, and both would relish a collision as professional boxers.

“Definitely,” Price told Sky Sports News. “My full focus is on 147lbs at the minute and becoming undisputed but definitely a fight down the line.

“I would love to share the ring with her, obviously Olympic champion as well. Double Olympic champion, I’m Olympic champion, it’s a great fight to make. Definitely.”

Shields called Price out. “I want to fight everybody,” she told Sky Sports. “We have some new blood on the scene. I’ve seen Lauren Price fight. I was like wow, pretty impressive. Pretty impressive.
“[154lbs] is the lowest I can get. If she wants to fight at 160lbs too, don’t be afraid to get a hamburger and come on up.”
‘We can prove who’s the best Olympic champion’

Shields previously told Sky Sports: “It’s hard to put anything past Olympic champions. She won the Olympics 2021.

“I feel like when you’ve been all over the world and you’ve boxed and you’ve won world championships, it’s kind of destined for you to be great in the pros. I wish her the best of luck.

“She won the Olympics at 165lbs (75kgs) just as I did – two times – and if she ever wants to fight I would love to fight against her too,” Shields added.

“I believe anything is possible and I really want to fight anybody that wants to fight me. So if Lauren Price keeps winning and comes to 154lbs, 160, 168, we can fight and prove who’s the best Olympic champion.”

Podcaster Don’t Call Me White Girl Sparks Beef With Boxer Claressa Shields In Messy Rant

Clareesa Shields has been feuding with women in and out of the ring to become the greatest woman of all-time.

Popular podcaster Don’t Call Me White Girl defends light skin women after undisputed boxing champ Claressa Shileds said that those were the type of people that hate on her the most. Taking offense, the podcaster slammed the boxer in the latest episode of her podcast, calling the boxer “a f*cking mess.” “This is the beginning, middle, and the end, Claressa Shields, you are a f*cking mess,” said DCMWG. “I don’t give a f*ck where you go, what you wear … It’s nothing sexy about that b*tch. You need a cot damn stylist.”

The podcaster’s remarks follow the GWOAT herself, who was at the center of a public firestorm in late 2024. She was accused of having an affair with rapper Papoose. The controversy erupted when Remy Ma, Papoose’s wife, took to Instagram on December 11 to share alleged text exchanges between her husband and Shields. The messages, which suggested an intimate bond, showed Shields expressing concern for Papoose’s well-being, prompting Remy Ma to question the nature of their connection.

Papoose swiftly denied the allegations, dismissing Remy Ma’s claims as baseless. He went on to accuse her of repeated infidelity, calling her a “narcissist” and revealing that he had previously sought a divorce. The dispute, already a spectacle, escalated further when Shields decided to respond in a manner befitting a world champion—by challenging Remy Ma to a boxing match. She proposed a showdown on February 2, a challenge that quickly gained traction online. The feud even caught the attention of 50 Cent, who added his voice to the growing conversation.

As tensions flared, Shields made another accusation, alleging that Remy Ma had leaked her personal phone number. In a candid conversation with Jemele Hill on December 19, Shields expressed her frustration, vowing to confront the rapper over the alleged violation of her privacy. What started as a personal dispute quickly became a headline-grabbing saga, drawing attention far beyond the hip-hop and boxing communities. Shields, known for her dominance in the ring, now found herself battling public scrutiny. The entanglement between Shields, Remy Ma, and Papoose underscored the chaos that can unfold when private matters are thrust into the public eye, reminding audiences of the ever-blurring line between celebrity and personal life.

Legacy Reloaded : Deontay Wilder’s Return: What To Know About His Next Opponent

Deontay Wilder is returning to the ring. The 39-year-old slugger with a record of 43-4-1 with 42 KOs is set to headline a Global Combat Collective event called Legacy Reloaded.

Wilder will face Tyrrell Herndon on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, Kansas.

The event will be streamed live on BLK Prime. Here’s everything you need to know about Herndon.

Experience

Over his 10-year professional career, Herndon has fought 29 bouts, accumulating 100 rounds of ring time, though mostly against lower-tier opponents.

Professional Record

Herndon has a professional boxing record of 24-5 with 15 knockouts.

Age and Background

Herndon is 37 years old and hails from San Antonio, Texas. Many of his pro fights have taken place in his home state.

Physical Traits

Herndon is 6’3”, so the 6’7″ Wilder will have a massive height advantage.

Last Fight

Herndon is on a three-fight win streak. In his last fight, he knocked off Rudy Silvas by split decision in May 2024. When he steps in the ring with Wilder, he’ll have been out of the ring for more than a year.

Notable Losses

Herndon has been a bit of a gatekeeper for upcoming talent. He was knocked out by Olympic silver medalist Richard Torrez Jr. in October 2023, and he suffered an 89-second KO loss to Efe Ajagba in 2017.

This is a Dream Fight for Herndon

In a 2019 Instagram post, Herndon wrote, “Manifesting. Idols become rivals eventually…” alongside a photo with Wilder.

As a justifiably massive underdog, Herndon may rue the day he wished for this fight to go from dream to reality.

Deontay Wilder Has a Lot on the Line in this Fight

Even with Wilder’s seemingly depleted state, most would expect him to get past Herndon. The veteran is simply being placed here as an opponent who gives Wilder an opportunity to shine.

If he wins as expected, he’ll have a highlight-reel KO on his recent résumé, which could potentially facilitate a fight with Anthony Joshua—or more likely, a clash with current Professional Fighters League Super Fights MMA heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

Deontay Wilder and Ngannou have expressed a desire to fight each other in the past, and the fight has never made more sense than it does now. Ngannou had two unsuccessful dips into the sweet science when he narrowly lost a split decision to Tyson Fury in late 2023, and he was savagely knocked out by Joshua in 2024.

Meanwhile, Wilder has endured back-to-back losses to Zhilei Zhang and Joseph Parker. If Wilder can’t just defeat Herndon—but dominate—few will believe he has a chance to beat Ngannou, let alone rise in the ranks to fight for another championship.

Deontay wilder

Herndon may as well be the Notorious B.I.G. in the classic song “What’s Beef?” He’ll have “nothing to lose tattooed around his wounds, everything to gain, embedded in his brain.”

Any success he enjoys against Wilder will be icing on the proverbial cake. Be on the lookout for more information on the card as we get closer to the event.

After almost over a year off Tyrell Herndon Challenged Former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder to return to the ring in June

After almost over a year off, former WBC Heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder will be returning to the ring.

Wilder (43-4-1, 42 KO’s), a Tuscaloosa native and the 2008 Olympic bronze medalist, will return against Tyrell Herndon in a 10-round bout at Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, Kansas. The fight will take place on June 27 and will be streamed on BLK Prime.

It will be his first fight since a June 1, 2024 loss to Zhilei Zhang (27-2-1, 22 KOs) in the fifth round when Zhang got Wilder to spin around and Zhang’s right hand sent Wilder to the mat.

Herndon (24-5, 15 KO’s) stands at 6-foot-3 and has weighed in around 235 pounds, which should help Wilder who has weighed in around 214 pounds for his last fight. Herndon will also be returning after considerable layoff, his last fight was a May 2024 six-round split decision win over Rudy Silvas

Deontay Wilder has suffered all four of his losses and the draw since 2018, starting with the draw to Tyson Fury. Wilder was 40-0 going into the fight. Over his last five fights, Wilder is 1-4 and has been knocked out three times.

Wilder is the former heavyweight champion using a powerful righthand to climb the ranks, first taking the belt in 2015. He would make 10 defenses of the belt before falling to Fury in their second bout.

Wilder, 39, has contemplated retirement after his last few fights and ahead of a 2022 fight with Robert Helenius he said he would fight until he was 40, which he will turn this October. Wilder has said that a statue unveiling in his hometown back in 2022 helped convince him to return for his fans.

Under no illusionTyson Fury and Anthony Joshua would have got ‘bashed to bits’ by heavyweight legend

Carl Froch believes George Foreman would have had his way with almost all of the current top heavyweights.

The former unified super middleweight champion stopped short at Usyk but was under no illusion as to how Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury would have fared.

“I don’t think Usyk is big enough,” Froch said during an appearance on talkSPORT Drive on Monday afternoon.

“I mean he is a fantastic fighter so forget Usyk…

“But George Foreman if he was around in this era of heavyweights you can forget all the other heavyweights.

“He would have bashed them to bits. They wouldn’t be able to live with him.

“Tyson Fury would have been able to give him a fight with the size of him but I still think Foreman would have done him.”

‘Big George’ is widely considered to be one of the greatest heavyweights of all time.

So great, in fact, that he picked up the world heavyweight crown twice over 20 years apart.

Foreman snatched the WBA and WBC heavyweight titles from Joe Frazier in 1973 by blasting him out inside two rounds before being relieved of the belts one year later by Muhammad Ali in Zaire.

In 1977, at 28 years old, Foreman hung up his gloves in order to focus on his newfound Christian faith.

10 years later, he returned to the ring to mount one of the most remarkable comebacks in sporting history.

In 1994, Foreman shocked the boxing world by knocking out WBA and IBF heavyweight champion Michael Moorer at the MGM Grand, New York.

The previous record was held by Jersey Joe Walcott, but Foreman blew the New Jersey slugger’s feat out of the water by eight years.

Anthony joshua

Foreman held onto his crown for another year extending his record to 46 years and 169 days old.

A devastating puncher with an iron chin and dogged resilience, Foreman was a true enigma.

‘I don’t think he should step in the ring again’: Bob Arum says Tyson Fury should stay retired

It wouldn’t be the first time that Tyson Fury has declared his retirement only to return to the ring later, but Top Rank promoter Bob Arum tells Sky Sports that he thinks this time Fury should remain retired from boxing for good.

“I think Tyson Fury owes it to himself and his family to remain happily retired. Not from life, because I believe he has a lot in front of him. He is a good communicator and is an entertainer, but I don’t think he should step in the ring again because I think he’s had enough.”

Arum continues by saying that Fury has earned enough over his last few fights to never want for money again, and thinks Fury would be better served taking on other endeavors that wouldn’t require him to take any physical punishment.

Of course if Fury were to remain retired that would deny British boxing fans a showdown against fellow countryman Anthony Joshua, but that’s not a fight that really moves the needle for Arum at this point.

“As you know, I’m not a Brit, so I’m not as fascinated by an Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury fight as a Brit may be,” the American said. “So it doesn’t move me that he’s walking away from boxing and walking away from that fight.”

If Fury were to decide to return to boxing for another fight Arum admits that he wouldn’t stand in the way and would be willing to have Top Rank work on it, but that will ultimately be up to Fury to decide for himself as he’s not going to push that agenda.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul has been on the hunt for his next opponent after beating heavyweight legend Mike Tyson in November.

He was expected to take a mega-fight with Canelo Alvarez but the bout collapsed earlier this year.

Paul recently called out former two-time heavyweight world champion Joshua, with the pair teasing a clash in 2026.

AJ would be an overwhelming favourite given his experience at heavyweight and achievements in his boxing career.

And his promoter Hearn has warned Paul that he could be endangering himself by pursuing a ring showdown.

He told talkSPORT.com: “Jake might be mad enough to do it.

“Because all Jake thinks about is the money, right? The money he will get for fighting AJ is obscene.

“But he doesn’t take into consideration the medical consequences that would come for a fight like that.

“There is potential that you may never see his head again after that fight.

“It would be removed from his neck. But he’s just thinking, 100 mil, that’s alright.

“You’ve got to be careful what you wish for to be honest with you.”

Joshua himself has yet to pencil in his next fight after losing to Daniel Dubois in brutal fashion last September.

This would mean he is currently available to enter negotiations for a fight with Paul, particularly given he isn’t held by the constraints of a world title belt.

Hearn has questioned why Paul isn’t open to the bout now, and insists it could materialise if the right offer is presented to Joshua.

He continued: “But he did say 2026.

“That’s a bit like saying I’m going to win gold in the surfing in the Olympics in 2028. You know what I mean? Why not now?

“If you want to fight AJ, you’re not going to get any better. But look, we’re in that position.

“When we had the World Heavyweight Championship and all that kind of stuff, if Jake Paul came out and said, fight us, obviously, we’d go, no, we’re trying to become undisputed.

“But if someone slung a load of money at AJ and said, go and spark Jake Paul, I’d be pushing him in it myself.

“It’s definitely not a fight that was on the radar for AJ. But in the mad world that we live in, I’d never say never.

Paul has big plans for the next year, which include the launch of his new documentary Paul American with brother Logan Paul this week.

Filip Hrgovic Reveals The One Big Mistake Both Him And Anthony Joshua Made Against Dubois

Filip Hrgovic has been comparing his performance against Daniel Dubois with Anthony Joshua’s.

Filip Hrgovic was the experienced and well-ranked favourite going into his fight with Dubois back in June 2023. The contest was part of the 5 v 5 card that saw Matchroom take on Queensberry in a battle of the promoters out in Saudi Arabia, but it ended in disaster for the big Croatian as he was stopped inside eight rounds

In the build-up, Hrgovic spoke at length about what he perceived to be Dubois’ defensive and mental frailties, but none of them showed up on fight night. Speaking to The Ring Magazine, he broke down what went wrong and admitted he underestimated his opponent.

“I took him too lightly and underestimated him, thought it’d be a much easier fight for me. I lost my energy after five or six rounds, could hardly see his punches coming from the second round, had two deep cuts and they affected my vision, my focus and gave him confidence to push me.”

He then shared what he thinks were the shortcomings of his tactical plan and compared them to the way in which Joshua was also beaten by Dubois back in September – believing they both gave ‘DDD’ to much space to launch attacks.

“I made a mistake giving him too much space to move forward, should’ve pressed him more to go backwards, needed to block his jab and move my head more. I was too confident that one big right would land and he’d go down, Joshua made the same mistake by letting him come forward, trying to catch him with counters, we both did the same.”

Hrgovic looks to rebuild on April 5th when he takes a short-notice fight against former WBO interim heavyweight champion Joe Joyce in Manchester. A loss for either man would be a huge setback at this stage of their careers.

After loses in last five fighys, Deontay Wilder’s trainer reveals true thoughts on fighting in Africa on boxing return

Deontay Wilder could be willing to fight Francis Ngannou in Africa if the conditions are right, according to his trainer Malik Scott. The 39-year-old is targeting a return to the ring after a nine-month absence and rumours of a fight against ex-UFC star Ngannou continue to swirl. Talks have taken place over the past months to discuss a potential mixed-rules fight involving boxing and MMA techniques, with both fighters known to pack a powerful punch. It would prove to be a hugely popular encounter amongst fans and therefore appealing to those with a commercial interest. When asked about his interest in fighting to Africa, Scott revealed that Wilder has always held a desire to fight there – suggesting the bout has a realistic chance of materialising

“Deontay always wanted to fight in Africa anyway. So I’m sure he’s very excited about it. If there’s something that he’s going to entertain, this is something he’s always wanted to do anyway,” Scott told SpaceportSweden.com. “There’s so many times he was supposed to go over there just to visit and do a couple events for people that wanted him to come over. So I’m sure if everything is right he definitely wouldn’t mind going over there.”

The American has lost four of his last five fights, including his initial WBA heavyweight title fight against Tyson Fury and the subsquent rematch. He was also beaten on his last appearance in the ring, which came against Zhilei Zhang back in June 2024.

Ngannou, meanwhile, learned a harsh lesson in his two fights against Fury and Anthony Joshua after being knocked down early on before conceding defeat – leaving him with a 0-2 record. But the Cameroonian, fighting on his native turf in Africa, would have another motivating to climb back into the ring – especially if MMA rules are allowed.

“We know Ngannou wants to do it. [Saudi adviser] Turki [Al-Sheikh] is saying this thing can happen. Deontay is going to fight again, so it’s all just a win,” he added.

“Boxing fans can be very fickle sometimes. And not just the fans, just the way things go. I don’t know when the last time Francis was in the ring. So there’s just no telling.

“I know he wants the Wilder fight, he always speaks about it. But we just have to see. Him and Deontay will do big numbers, especially in Africa.”

“He Wins” Canelo Alvarez Delivers Honest Verdict On Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua Fight: “He Wins”

Saul ‘Canelo‘ Alvarez was recently asked for his view on what happens if Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua finally get it on in the ring.

The British stars are both two-time heavyweight world champions. They ruled for many years concurrently and were involved in plenty of epic battles with the likes of Deontay Wilder and Wladimir Klitschko but were never able to come together for a fight of their own before disaster struck and both were dethroned.

It was the same man, the undisputed cruiserweight turned undisputed heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk, who got the better of them. And he did so twice, over two fights against each man – a total of 48 enthralling rounds between 2021 and late last year.

The losses seemingly left Fury, who had never tasted defeat before, and Joshua with nowhere better to go than an epic and legacy-defining fight with each other, but Fury spoiled that by announcing his retirement at the end of January in a short social media post.

Speaking to Mail Sports Boxing, ‘Canelo’ was asked who he thought might come out on top if the two men were ever to finally come together.

“It’s gonna be a good fight. I don’t know, I think Fury has more experience, I think he wins.”

He was then asked who he wanted to win and went with Joshua.

Right now, the fight is only a fantasy contest as Fury remains retried, and Joshua continues to be linked with other options like Deontay Wilder and Daniel Dubois, as well as a left-field bout with Jake Paul.
