Gymnastics superstar Simone Biles has bid a heartfelt temporary farewell to waves goodbye to Chicago with Jonathan Owens

Simone Biles has bid farewell to Chicago, which she has called home, as her husband Jonathan Owens played his first season with the Chicago Bears.

Gymnastics superstar Simone Biles has bid a heartfelt temporary farewell to Chicago, the city she’s been residing in while her husband Jonathan Owens played his first season with the Chicago Bears.

Taking to social media, Biles shared a touching photo of the couple toasting their time in the Windy City, captioning it: “Farewell to our time in Chicago see you in a few months.”

Throughout the 2024-25 NFL season, Biles was frequently spotted at Bears games, often seen giving Owens a pre-game kiss for luck

Owens impressed with his performance this season, racking up 49 tackles, two fumble recoveries, two pass breakups, and an interception.

After Owens supported Biles in Paris during her triumphant Olympic run where she clinched gold medals in the women’s individual all-around, vault, and team events at the 2024 Summer Olympics, she was thrilled to support him from the stands.

Asked by Olympics.com about her presence at Bears games and how much it matters to both of them, Biles said: “Oh, my gosh. It means the world to me.”

Biles spoke fondly about supporting NFL beau Owens by being part of his pre-game superstitions. “For him, it means a lot for me to go on the sideline before because he says that’s his pre-game routine. So he’s always looking for me on the sideline to give him, like, good luck vibes and wishes. That’s just his superstition.”

After the football season concluded, Biles commemorated their season-long tradition with a collection of images applauded by fans: “Will support my man till the very end. Proud of you 36! Year 7 in the books,” she proudly wrote. Owens replied to her tribute with a declaration of love: “I love you so much, baby.”

Despite her Texas roots, Biles has embraced Chicago’s brutal winters, saying they’re not as daunting as expected: “Honestly, not bad,” when discussing the cold. She revealed how they’ve already found their favourite local dining spot, praising Maple and Ash as their top choice. “We love Maple and Ash,” Biles admitted. “We go there quite frequently, so I would say Maple and Ash.”

The Olympic gymnast showed off her new style on her way to kick off the Gold Over America Tour

On Monday, Sept. 9, the Olympic gymnast, 27, posted on her Instagram Stories to announce she’s off to start her headlining gig on the Gold Over America Tour — and she’s sporting a brand new hairstyle.

Following a slide showing the athlete wearing a brown lounge set while standing next to her luggage, Biles shared a close-up shot of her long, dark hair, which now has subtle blonde highlights throughout.

“I did a thing,” she captioned the selfie. Flashing a big smile and sporting little to no makeup, the gold medalist showed off her fresh color, which is mainly throughout the mid-lengths and ends of her hair.

Simone Biles also tagged her hairstylist Jazmine Johnson in the post. Johnson shared the photo to her own Instagram Stories, writing, “Yes ma’am!! A thing was done!!!”

Diallo shared the same photo of Biles on his grid, adding another picture of the two of them together. He wrote in the caption, “What A Magical Morning! Reuniting With The GOAT! We Go Back Now 8 Years Now And I Couldn’t Be More Honored To Come Slay Your Hair When You’re On Top Of The World. Ps 8 Years Woof We GROWN Grown haha ❤️ YOU!”

The gymnast commented on the photos, writing, “gold medal stylist babyyyyy,” with four hearts and three gold medal emojis.

On July 30, she posted a couple of Instagram Stories from a bus in Paris, writing, “Don’t come for me about my hair. IT WAS DONE but bus has NO AC & it’s like 9,000 degrees.”

In the clip, her hair was pulled back into a ponytail with the ends curled. At the bottom of the post, she also noted that she had a 45 minute ride on the bus to get to where she was going.

Biles then shared a photo of her smiling with her eyes closed, writing, “gonna hold your hand when I say this,” before adding, “next time you want to comment on a Black girl’s hair, JUST DON’T.”

“Never Again”: Suni Lee Drops New Plans as Gymnast Fails Miserably During Vacation

They say trying something new is all about embracing the learning curve. But for Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee, things didn’t turn out in her favor. She has been a wonderful gymnast and won three medals at the 2024 Olympics. But in her new adventure, she could not do much. What has she been to?

suni Lee is in Montreal, Canada, on vacation and decided to swap flawless flips on snow to try skiing. But something unexpected happened. Though she can pass all the flexibility, strength, and coordination in gymnastics, skiing was not her cup of tea. Lee shared her first experience, and this would be her last attempt, as she says.

Caught in a tumble that was more “slip and slide” than “grace and glide,” Suni’s moment on the snow ended with her humorously declaring, “Never again.” Wearing goggles and a proper skiing dress, she can be seen face-planting. She has shared an Instagram story, and the caption reads, “First time skiing, omg, never again.” In the following story, she can be seen laughing about her situation while lying in the snow.

Lee’s friend Samira Ahmed filmed Lee during that situation, and the same story has been reshared by Lee. And the text on the video? It reads, “This is why I stay off the slopes.” This video is proof that if you are good at one sport, it doesn’t mean you will pick up the pace of other sports easily.

Skis can be seen as easy; Suni Lee’s skiing attempt made it clear that even gold medalists might not be the best ones on the slopes. By switching from the beam to snow and skis, Lee observed that elegance doesn’t automatically convey jubilantly over any area.

Suni Lee once considered quitting gymnastics

Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee has an impressive list of achievements. Winning the all-around title at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, three medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and much more. But everything seemed to finish all of a sudden. What was the incident, you may ask?

In February 2023, Lee woke up with swollen ankles, and the first thought that came up was intense training. But little did she know, the following morning she had her face, legs, and hands all swollen up. What has happened? She was found with two strange kidney problems. This situation made her suffer a lot, as she was facing swollen parts, awful pain, and throwing up all the time.

That’s when she decided to quit gymnastics; she was competing with Auburn University’s gymnastics team as a student at that point of time. Nevertheless, she stayed strong and even competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics and other events. Results? Well, everyone knows the results. Is she completely fine now?

In October 2024, Lee shared about her health with Yahoo Sports’ and also talked about the 2028 Olympics. She said, “The Olympics just happened, so I am trying to give myself a little bit of grace and let my body and my mental health rest as much as possible because my body went through a lot, especially with the kidney disease, then getting COVID, having to deal with the injuries as well. So, right now, it’s not something I’m thinking about, but it’s definitely still at the back of my mind.”

Suni Lee already has multiple accolades to her name. This includes being the Female Athlete of the Year by Sports Illustrated. She has also won the Sportswoman of the Year, which she received from the Women’s Sports Foundation in 2021. Lee has been in the Time Magazine 100, and the list goes on. Let’s see what the future unfolds for her.

Simone Biles won her fifth olympic tittle and started her golden day with therapy at Paris 2024 Olympics

Simone Biles is doing more than just talking the talk. Three years ago, the U.S. finished a stunning second after entering the Tokyo Olympics as heavy favourites.

It came after Biles withdrew from the final, having botched her attempt at a two-and-a-half twisting vault to priortise her mental health as she dealt with what gymnasts call the ‘twisties,’ where the body and mind fall out of sync.

Her decision sparked a global conversation about athletes putting mental health at the forefront of elite sport.

She’s lived true to that moment since – including Tuesday morning (30 July), hours before she and Tokyo teammates Jordan Chiles, Suni Lee and Jade Carey, along with newcomer Hezly Rivera, won Team USA’s fourth-ever gold medal in the women’s team event at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

“At the beginning of the day, I started off with therapy this morning. That was super exciting,” Biles said. “I told my therapist I was feeling calm and ready.”

Her opening rotation inside a packed Bercy Arena, full of fans decked out in red, white and blue, left no doubt about that.

Biles sprinted down the vaulting runway to open her team final, a moment that could have spurred a flashback to Tokyo. It didn’t: She nailed her Cheng vault.

“After I finished vault, I was relieved,” she admitted. “I was like, ‘Phew!’ because at least no flashbacks or anything. I did feel a lot of relief.

“As soon as I landed vault, I was like, ‘Definitely were’ going to do this.’”

For Biles – and Team USA – it was smooth sailing all the way to the 27-year-old’s eighth Olympic medal, vaulting her past Shannon Miller to be the all-time American leader in the sport.

Her second Olympic team gold medal, she says, feels totally different than the first.

“I think in 2016, we were destined to win gold, everybody kind of already said we were going to win gold,” Biles reflected. “Now that I’m much older and we have so much more experience, we’re out here really having fun and enjoying what we’re doing.

“It just felt a little bit different [tonight],” she said later. “It was super exciting, we had fun, we enjoyed each other’s time out there, and we just did our gymnastics.”

Simone Biles Shares Emotional Toast While Bidding Farewell to Jonathan Owens’ NFL Home City

You can’t expect someone to take a sigh of relief in a world where a single point difference can show the gate of elimination. Well, the Chicago Bears were standing at a record of 4-9 after their matches in the season. Only a miracle could get them into the playoffs in this scenario. Also, Simone Biles’s husband, Jonathan Owens, might have gained a few more matches to don the Bears’ jersey this season and could extend the couple’s stay in their Chicago home. But miracles don’t come in the NFL regularly. And for Bears, there had been a special crunch. So? The outcome?

Well, the Chicago Bears had to stay at home in the postseason. But safety Jonathan and his wife Simone Biles had no reason to extend their stay in the Windy City. The squad had already been eliminated. But any special message from Biles before leaving the city? Yes, on January 26, the gymnast wrote a few words on her Instagram story. It read, “farewell to our time in chicago see you in a few months” The story had a snapshot in the background showing Simone and JO’s hands raising a toast.

‘Against My Will’: Simone Biles Drops Surprising Update on Breaking Her Vow Hours After Returning Home From Vacation: ‘Against My Will’

Life doesn’t always come with a suitable preference for us. Right? Sometimes it makes us do things we might not enjoy. The rule applies to all, even to 11-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles. She had to face this harsh part of the story after her time off from her routine. After the regular season, she and her husband, Jonathan Owens, flew to Switzerland to spend their vacation. Since their marriage in 2023, it was a one-of-a-kind vacation for them, where they set sail for a European destination.

Surely off days from the daily routine can change someone’s life, and someone like Simone Biles can stand for that. Example? A thorough time off from the regular gymnastics practices occasionally made her make important decisions regarding her professional career and life. However, this time, her time off was special.! Rarely has the athletic couple gotten time from their professional engagements since their marriage in 2023. Nonetheless, the week-long leave from routine life seemed to leave its mark on Simone’s mindset by changing one of her decisions. How?

Via Instagram Story, Simone Biles confirmed her return home on Saturday, January 25th. The story showed her enjoying a Georgia Gymnastics college duel on the screen from the cozy corner of her house. However, the next story in the line had a massive update. It was a snapshot taken inside of a training facility decorated with several apparatuses. Wait! Is Simone returning to her exercise sessions? Well, in the caption, Biles wrote, “here against my will.” Does that signify something deep?

The search for the answers might take us to December last year. Those were the days when Simone was returning to her regular workout sessions. The emotions, however, were mixed, and no, it wasn’t about her workload but something else. After winning three Olympic gold medals at 27, Simone Biles may not need to put any added pressure on her regarding workload. But she didn’t like her first edition of the workout after the Paris Olympics and eventually took a vow. What are those?

After her first workout session post the Paris Olympics, Simone Biles took to Instagram to explain her take on it. In her Instagram story on December 4th, Simone wrote, “First time working out since the Olympics… This is what I wore to a Pilates class that I will never be attending again! Y’all stay strong out there, lmao. It’s too hard.” But why didn’t she like it? Does the exercise type bring something different for someone who kept on doing gravity-defying gymnastics moves for decades? The answer has a link to her past.

Simone Biles’s issues with Pilates date back to 2020. In those years, she faced the harsh part of the schedules. Even in her conversation with Katie Ledecky and Joi Wade once, she claimed, “I will not be doing that again.” She blamed it for leaving her body soaring. And now, after a rejuvenating vacation in Switzerland, it looks like Simone is up for challenging her boundaries. And this time it feels like all she took was a smoothie to shake the dust of the trauma from Pilates (via. her Instagram story). But it isn’t the first time Simone Biles 2.0 keeps on pushing her limitations. In Switzerland, she did something that surprised many of us!

Simone Biles keeps on pushing her limitations

NASDAQ, Davos, the World Economic Forum, and gymnastics—do you find any meaningful link between these elements? No, undoubtedly! The first three elements are known to all who deal with macroeconomics, and the last one is a sport. So a bridge between macroeconomics and gymnastics? Isn’t that something far-fetched? Perhaps it is not in Simone Biles’ presence. How? During her vacation with Jonathan Owens in Switzerland, Biles took an off (again an off!) to attend a chat show hosted by NASDAQ in Davos.

simone biles

It was in the backdrop of NASDAQ’s meeting in 2025. However, Simone graced the stage of ‘The Winning Mindset’ hosted by Sara Eisen, the famed CNBC anchor. When Biles is in the mix and on the stage of ‘The Winning Mindset’, you can guess the topic, right? But she was there, and she had never shared a hint of the invitation beforehand. Doesn’t it promote her crafting milestones in silence? Well, a sportsperson’s attendance in a NASDAQ-hosted show doesn’t come regularly. And Simone stamped her achievement without making any noise. If the entire event doesn’t promote her pushing her limitations, then what is it? Do you have any take on it? Share with us in the comments down below!

Simone Biles Tries on Expensive AP Watches During Switzerland Vacation with Husband Jonathan Owens

Simone Biles tries on some new hardware, and they’re even more luxurious than her Olympic medals

On Thursday, Jan. 23, Biles, 27, shared new photos from her travels in Switzerland with her husband Jonathan Owens, including a stop at an Audemars Piguet (AP) museum and store.

The Olympian shared the photos on her Instagram Stories, beginning with an image of a gold “Audemars Piguet Le Brassus” sign.

Next, Biles shared a photo of herself and her husband smiling from ear to ear as they posed inside the location.

Simone Biles wore a plain white T-shirt, light-wash jeans and white Adidas sneakers underneath a long brown coat. Owens, 29, who coordinated with her look, wore a black shirt, pants, gray coat and sneakers.

The photo was followed by a picture of the two wearing loupes on their right eyes as they sat in front of a work table.

In another upload, Biles showed various luxury watches in glass cases and a photo of a dinner plate with the Audemars Piguet logo. The photo set ended with a collage of images of Biles trying on four different Audemars Piguet watches.

“😍😍😍😍😍,” wrote Biles over the collage. Owens also shared photos from their time at Audemars Piguet with various close-ups of the watches and displays on his Instagram Stories.

Over on her main Instagram feed, Biles shared a post that includes photos of her and the Chicago Bears player walking alongside a river, relaxing in bed, and having drinks.

“Taking trips with your best friend >> I love you so much baby, i wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else ❤️🤞🏽,” Owens commented on the post.

It’s not surprising that the couple chose to visit Audemars Piguet given Biles’ fondness for luxury items, such as her expensive Hermés purses. Earlier this month, she took Owens with her while purchasing a new light brown Birkin bag in New York to further expand her collection.

During the 2024 Paris Olympics, after winning the all-around final, she displayed one of her most notable jewelry pieces: a sparkly goat on a silver chain.

While speaking to reporters, including PEOPLE, in a press conference following the event, she opened up about the inspiration behind the piece.

“My goat necklace, is just kind of an ode, because the people love it and then some people hate it, so it’s like the best of both worlds. And I was like, okay, if it goes well, I’ll wear the goat necklace, I know people will go crazy over it,” she said.

“But at the end of the day, it is crazy that I’m in the conversation of greatest of all time athletes, because I still think I’m Simone Biles from Spring, Texas that loves to flip,” continued Biles.

Biles retirement talk rolls on: Simone Biles reveals retirement plans with a touching nod to Jonathan Owens

Simone Biles, widely regarded as one of the greatest gymnasts of all time, has opened up about her retirement plans, hinting that her illustrious career may be nearing its conclusion. In a heartfelt gesture, Biles referenced her NFL star husband Jonathan Owens as a symbol of her future aspirations, blending her personal and professional journeys in a powerful statement

Biles, 27, recently revealed her thoughts during an interview where she expressed gratitude for the support she has received throughout her career. She acknowledged the sacrifices she has made for gymnastics and emphasized her desire to focus on family and personal growth.

“I want to pour into the things that matter most, like my family,” Biles said, showcasing a shift in her priorities.

The gymnast’s marriage to Chicago Bears star Jonathan Owens in 2023 has played a pivotal role in shaping her post-gymnastics vision. The pair are very much in love, as showcased through their frequent social media posts together, and Biles has never hidden her desire to start a family with the NFL player.

Biles retirement talk rolls on

Despite teasing retirement, Biles has made it clear she remains fully committed to the sport for now. Her dominance in gymnastics has been unmatched, most recently with a triumphant return at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she added more gold medals to her already extensive collection.

For her fans, the prospect of Biles stepping away from competition is bittersweet. However, the athlete reassures them that she isn’t entirely leaving gymnastics behind, hinting at roles in mentoring or advocacy.

Simone Biles has become one of the most talked about athletes across the United States for her impeccable performances at the Olympic Games, and her outspokenness about mental health issues continues to inspire.

The combination of discussing personal values and professional excellence sets an example for athletes worldwide and, with Jonathan Owens by her side, Biles is poised to embrace the next chapter of her life with the same determination and grace that has defined her career.

The presence of Simone biles at Inaugural ‘Hell Yeah’ Award: America’s GOAT Woman

The gymnastics floor may be springy, but this summer, Simone Biles cemented herself as champion of the world. She took gold in individual all-around at the Paris Olympics and also led Team USA to the top of the podium, marking a triumphant return after a bout of the “twisties” caused her to withdraw from most Tokyo Olympics events in 2021.

In addition to getting her swag back, Biles broke 13 records this summer, including these:

  • She’s now the most decorated US Olympic gymnast ever after taking home three gold medals and one silver, bringing her total count to 11.
  • At the just-off-your-parents’-insurance age of 27, Biles became the oldest woman to win all-around Olympic gold in gymnastics since 1952.
  • She’s America’s first two-time Olympic gold medal winner in both individual all-around and vault (2016 and 2024) and the first to notch those first-place finishes nonconsecutively.
  • Biles is one of just 29 Olympic athletes who have won more than 10 medals.

Living up to her bling. After winning her second gold of the Paris Olympics, the GOAT pulled out a goat-shaped necklace encrusted with 546 diamonds.

Looking ahead…Biles hasn’t ruled out competing in the 2028 Los Angeles Games. In the meantime, she’s *checks notes* opening a restaurant called Taste of Gold at the Houston Intercontinental Airport next year.

$25 Million Worth Simone Biles’ Surprising $100 Gift From NFL Husband Jonathan Owens Revealed

No wonder when he landed back in the USA after the Chicago Bears’ London game in October, he brought back an extravagant gift for his wife, concealed in a black Chanel box! But that’s hardly the only time he has put a million-dollar smile on her face by bringing her presents.

Remember when she secured her Paris berth, Owens gifted her a dazzling Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch encrusted with diamonds? The watch was an 18-carat white gold version with brilliant-cut diamonds, worth a whopping $100,000! But turns out, that the roles have reversed now. It’s she who is now going all out in gifting him the high-priced goodies! And what is she asking for in return? Well, it’s a rather minimalistic token of love!

Simone Biles loves these fragrant gifts from her husband

In an Exclusive Backseat Interview with Olympics Gymnastics, Simone Biles recently spilled the beans on what’s been her favorite gift from her husband. She says, “What’s the best gift..he always..honestly, I am like not very materialistic. It’s probably my weekly flowers.” Biles then details that Jonathan buys her flowers every week and that’s what her favorite thing is to receive from him.

Well, if this isn’t ‘wife goals,’ then what is? We know that Simone Biles boasts a staggering net worth and every now and then flaunts her wealth by pulling off accessories she loves. Be it her $300,000 engagement ring, her “OWENS”-themed necklace, or her brand new goat necklace with 546 diamonds that is estimated to be around 50,000 pounds or nearly $65,000. But when it comes to the love of her life, even $100 worth of flowers, which is how much an average bouquet costs, are enough to make her feel special!

On the other hand, she’s making quite the splurge when it comes to gifting the Chicago Bears’ safety. When asked about the best gift she has gotten for Owens, she packs the answer with a punch of humor. “The best…I wouldn’t even say the best gift I have ever gotten him because obviously that’d be me….” She then reveals the present that he’d been wanting for dearly, “But I feel his favorite one that he’s been wanting for so long was a Rolex.”

And why not? The two athletes are looking in the best shape of their respective careers. And of course, are earning well. They surely can afford the big spending and thus they are!

Biles and Jonathan Owens enjoy loft net worths

Well, Sportico recently revealed its list of the top 15 highest-paid female athletes and of course, Simone Biles’ name had to be there! In the top 10, she enjoys an estimated net worth of $25 million! On the other hand, Jonathan Owens is not far behind. He signed a 2-year, $4.75 million contract with the Bears this year and has been doing well on the field lately.

Thus, it’s a given that each of them indulges in an occasional luxury haul. The last time Simone Biles decided to reward herself. After returning from Paris, she gifted herself a brand new white Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon. She even customized the entire interior of the vehicle with reddish-orange upholstery, which skyrocketed its price to $200,000.

Speaking of that, let’s not forget she splurged almost $10K on a private jet to fly to Detroit to spend Thanksgiving with Jonathan Owens, while he was on NFL duty. But, we now know. Within her heart is a little girl in love who is thrilled by a simple bunch of flowers! What do you think of this? Let us know below!
